You are invited to become a member of the Rochester AudioVisual Association.
RAVA is a not-for-profit organization of media professionals – a community
network for sharing ideas across the growing spectrum of communications systems.
As
we have recently surpassed our half-century mark, RAVA has developed into a truly unique
organization. It is one of the
first associations of its kind anywhere in the United States.
With a mix of members who use or supply all types of visual and audio
communications tools, RAVA maintains a rare and evolving sense of perspective.
RAVA membership is composed of professionals from all disciplines – the
application of media in education, business & industry, health science,
community agencies and government.
The
talents of the membership include the fields of animation, computer use,
writing, audio recording, film and video editing, camera work, directing,
producing, lighting, grip, gaffer, instruction and repair.
We feel your talents can add to the diversity of RAVA, a group of people
unified in their vision of sharing their knowledge with one another.
RAVA
has sponsored topical symposiums that have drawn national speakers and
attention, has served as regional host for national conventions, and regularly
draws renowned guests for major banquets and meetings.
We have an informal luncheon the first Tuesday of each month and a
monthly evening meeting usually the third Tuesday at 5:30pm.
During the evening gatherings we feature a guest speaker on a topic of
related interest or visit a company or education facility that makes or uses
media.
Because
RAVA is unaffiliated with any national groups, dues remain nominal and allow for
regular regional interchange. Members
serve as individuals and do not officially represent their respective companies
or institutions.
All
meetings are open to non-members. Come
meet us at our next gathering to help make your decision to join.
For more information and a membership application, see the enclosed
brochure.
We
invite you to become a member of RAVA.
