Meet Your 2007-2008 RAVA Officers

President:
David Striks

Since 1997, David Striks has headed up the video department for the City of Rochester, NY.  With over 30 years of experience in video and media production, his work has been broadcast nationally on PBS and statewide in New York and Michigan.  David is a consultant in the media field and has led seminars in video production and taught media production at both the High School level and at area colleges.  He is also president of Rochester Video Production and Video Yearbook.

Maryann works at Monroe Community College in the Visual and Performing Arts department, and she received her Bachelor of Science degree from R.I.T. and has been in the Communications field for over 25 years.
 
Secretary:
Keith Bullis

Keith Bullis is Media Services Manager for the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is involved in video conferencing, video production, still photography, web design and audio visual support. In addition, he owns a wedding and commercial photography studio called Visual Imagery and Design.

Barry Chow

Barry Chow joined Genesee Community College in 1998, his responsibility includes teaching multimedia and communications courses, supporting the Distance Learning/Video Conferencing system, and serving as the supervisor for the Media Department. Mr. Chow is also an Adjunct Faculty member at SUNY College at Brockport, where he teaches computer science courses.
Prior to joining the Genesee Community College, Mr. Chow worked as the Training Coordinator at Rochester Community Television under the Rochester Time Warner Cable system.
Mr. Chow received his MFA degree in Electronic Media from Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, and a BFA degree in Studio Arts from University of Texas at Austin.

Paul has owned and operated Envision Productions since 1994.  Full-time he designs, develops and supports Smart Classrooms and educational technology needs for Monroe Community College.  Paul also teaches classes as an adjunct lecturer at MCC in Computer Generated Imagery, Digital Photography, and Audiovisual Technology.  He teaches 3D animation classes at Animatus Studios.  He has more information at http://home.rochester.rr.com/paultracy.

Dan Reardon

Dan is currently employed by the West Irondequoit Central School District.  For thirty years Reardon has helped thousands of kids reach their full potential.  As WICSD Coordinator Of Media Services many programs have been introduced to teachers, including video-on-demand.

Tom created Hope Reports, a company that is one of the cornerstones in reporting on various aspects of the industry.  He is a statistician, author, lecturer, former film producer, listed in Who's Who in America, a founder of CINE, a Life Member of the University Film & Video Association and annual contributor to the Encyclopedia Britannica Yearbook.
