2007 Vincent T. Slavin Festival - update:After thorough investigation of the current state of traditional festivals verses the growing trends of on-line festivals and posting of creator's worker on their own websites, the Slavin Festival Committee came to the conclusions that running the festival in the traditional manner was at a financial loss to both SMPTE and RAVA and that the benefit to the student could be found elsewhere in these new mediums of showcase and distribution. Slavin Festival - announcement:The festival committee met in February 2006 and decided that a few things need to be looked at with regards to making the festival an even bigger successful event here in Rochester. We have shifted the festival forward from the usual October month to the following March. So, the next Slavin Festival will be in March 2007.
